Rennes-le-Château is the next village. The Cathar castles of Puivert, Puilaurens and Peyrepertuse make easy day trips.
come home
A walk over the old bridge, a glass on the balcony, and in summer, dinner in the courtyard.
ask roy about rennes-le-château
In the 1890s the village priest, Bérenger Saunière, suddenly had a fortune nobody could explain. He spent it on a villa, a garden and the Tour Magdala, and people have argued about where the money came from ever since. Roy has heard every theory, and will happily tell you his over breakfast.
